Me, Myself, and I

This has got to be the hardest page to write on my blog.  Me.  There's nothing overly special about me.  How do I write an introduction to myself?  Resume's are easy - you only need to talk about your professional self.  But this is personal. Here goes:

I'm 5' 2".  In the words of a four year old: I'm little.  Like a kid.

You won't know my weight.  End of story.

I love my husband of 15 years, Chris.  He was made for me, and I for him.  He is our protector, provider, and does a fabulous job at both.

I'm a mom.  Finally.  After 10 years of marriage and one miscarriage, I became a mother to my beautiful baby boy.  He's my Elijah. Three and a half years later, our unplanned, but extremely welcomed second baby boy joined the family.  Gabriel is my angel boy. I. Love. Being. A. Mom.  I will write about being mommy on this blog.  A lot.

I love music. Southern Gospel holds a special place in my heart, but I like Praise and Worship as well as some Contemporary.  I play piano and organ.  Years ago, I tried my hand at the saxophone  acoustic guitar, and bass guitar.  Nah, not my forte'.  I'll stick with the keyed instruments.

I'm not a very good cook.  I have a few "signature" dishes, but over all... I just cook what my husband likes. New dishes scare him... which in turn, scares me.  I tend to stick with the tried and true.  I dream of being a wonderful cook.

And yes, I enjoy my iPhone.  No, I don't get a cut from them for saying that... it's just true.

On a bit more personal level... after working the first 13-14 years of our marriage, God granted me the answer to my prayers: to be a stay at home mom.  July 2012 was when my dream became a reality.  My life isn't perfect, but every day holds joy. I am so grateful for this answered prayer.
